چکیده

The design and implementation of a real-time super-resolution imaging processor was conducted as a benchmark for the Rapid Prototyping of Application Specific Signal Processors (RASSP) program. RASSP is a DARPA/Tri-services sponsored program aimed at accelerating the design process for digital electronic systems. The super-resolution subsystem is part of a Semi-Automated Image-intelligence Processing (SAIP) system. The benchmark project required a reduction in the size and increase in performance of the prototype system, which had been implemented on an array of workstations. The RASSP methodology was applied to guide the design process and RASSP-related analysis tools were used to accelerate the software development. The numerical and run-time performance goals were achieved through a combination of software innovations in the imaging algorithm and porting to a high-density commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) high-performance parallel processor. The selected processor consisted of four Alex Computer boards containing a total of 72 ADSP-21060 (SHArc) signal processors.

Parameter Optimization Of Fast Curvature Based Interpolation Using Genetic Algorithm Parameter Optimization Of Fast Curvature Based Interpolation Using Genetic Algorithm

An improvement of fast curvature based interpolation in image super resolution is proposed by using genetic algorithm optimization. The fast curvature based image super resolution requires low computation time, and it is suitable for real time video superresolution. This paper furthermore optimizes the parameters of FCBI based on genetic algorithm. Through the android device implementation, we ...

FPGA-based Real-time Super-Resolution on an Adaptive Image Sensor

Recent technological advances in imaging industry have lead to the production of imaging systems with high density pixel sensors. However, their long exposure times limit their applications to static images due to the motion blur effect. This work presents a system that reduces the motion blurring using a time-variant image sensor. This sensor can combine several pixels together to form a large...

Single-shot and single-sensor high/super-resolution microwave imaging based on metasurface

Real-time high-resolution (including super-resolution) imaging with low-cost hardware is a long sought-after goal in various imaging applications. Here, we propose broadband single-shot and single-sensor high-/super-resolution imaging by using a spatio-temporal dispersive metasurface and an imaging reconstruction algorithm. The metasurface with spatio-temporal dispersive property ensures the fe...

Super Resolution Blind Reconstruction of Low Resolution Images using Wavelets based Fusion

Crucial information barely visible to the human eye is often embedded in a series of low resolution images taken of the same scene. Super resolution reconstruction is the process of combining several low resolution images into a single higher resolution image. The ideal algorithm should be fast, and should add sharpness and details, both at edges and in regions without adding artifacts. In this...

Low-Cost and Real-Time Super-Resolution over a Video Encoder IP

This paper addresses a low-cost and real-time solution for the implementation of super-resolution (SR) algorithms over SOC (System-On-Chip) platforms in order to achieve high-quality image improvements. Lowcost constraints are accomplished in the sense that SR is performed without developing a specific hardware, but re-using a video encoder IP block. This encoder can be used either in compressi...
